1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 1 (Nurture & Behaviour Support)

Cheltenham

£90–£105 per day (dependent on experience)

Full-Time, Term-Time only, September Start

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include

Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 child with significant behavioural needs
Deliver playbased, nurturing activities to support engagement
Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to follow support plans
Create a calm, safe and encouraging learning environment
Support transitions and routines throughout the school day

The successful candidate will have

Experience with early years or KS1 pupils
Strong nurturing and relationship-building skills
Understanding of behaviour support and emotional needs
Creative, playful and patient approach
Ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure
Commitment to supporting the child’s long-term development
