Some of the key responsibilities of the role include

  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 child with significant behavioural needs

  • Deliver playbased, nurturing activities to support engagement

  • Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour

  • Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to follow support plans

  • Create a calm, safe and encouraging learning environment

  • Support transitions and routines throughout the school day

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include

The successful candidate will have

  • Experience with early years or KS1 pupils

  • Strong nurturing and relationship-building skills

  • Understanding of behaviour support and emotional needs

  • Creative, playful and patient approach

  • Ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure

  • Commitment to supporting the child’s long-term development
