Year 2 Teacher

MPS/UPS (pro rata, dependent on experience)

Part-Time (3 Days per Week), Fixed-Term Contract (September – July)

Primary School

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include

Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons for a Year 2 class.
Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress in line with school policies.
Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents.
Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
Contribute to wider school activities and events as appropriate.

The successful candidate will have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2.
Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
Enthusiastic, adaptable and passionate about primary education.
